Dr. Colleen Peters is an Environmental Scientist and the Manager of Education at Livingston Ripley Waterfowl Conservancy. She received her Doctorate in Environmental Science from Baylor University which examined microplastic ingestion within freshwater and marine fish from Texas waters. Her previous research also includes investigation of the impact of climate change on arctic environments and the utilization of man-made wetlands for water quality improvement of storm water runoff. Her research is published in Environmental Pollution and Marine Pollution Bulletin and she has most recently presented at The Texas Plastic Pollution Research Symposium.
